The 21+ event leans into local foodie culture while supporting the park
Central Florida is widely known for world-class theme parks and grand-scale attractions. But tucked into the heart of Polk County, a rich, distinctive culinary identity has been burgeoning and even flourishing — and it’s taking center stage at Bonnet Springs Park this November. On Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026, from 5 to 9 p.m., food enthusiasts, craft beverage lovers and anyone who is looking for a great time without leaving town will gather for the second annual Central Florida Food Fest.
Organized in partnership with Visit Central Florida as part of their Rooted in Flavor initiative, the Central Florida Food Fest was created to spotlight the incredible food scene across the area.
"There is such a diverse food scene in Polk County, and our goal was to highlight that and have a diverse mix of cuisines, lots of options," explains Stephanie Bernal, Director of Events at Bonnet Springs Park. From neighborhood favorites like Cob & Pen, The Wine Garden and Nineteen61 to hidden gems, food trucks, and emerging culinary entrepreneurs operating out of Catapult or local markets, the festival brings a vibrant mix of cuisines together.
Tickets are $20 for entrance into the event, including parking and a special welcome drink. Attendees are then encouraged to take their own culinary journey, stopping by booths to purchase à la carte everything from sweet artisanal treats to global fusion dishes to plant-based creations and good ole’ American comfort food.
While Bonnet Springs Park hosts numerous family-friendly gatherings throughout the year, the Food Fest offers an intimate, sophisticated night out designed specifically for adults. In fact, leaving the kids at home is a requirement because this event is exclusive to those who are 21+.
As Bernal notes, "This is more intimate, there's lots of entertainment, and we really put a lot of intention and detail into the activation." Guests can stroll through interactive spaces, including a hidden speakeasy, an area designated for sipping old-fashioneds and lighting up cigars, and decor will include vintage cars and custom florals.
The setting itself adds to the magic. Tucked into the Harrell Family Botanical Gardens and Kirby Center, the event offers a rare glimpse of the park transformed into an illuminated evening sanctuary surrounded by lush greenery. As attendees sample signature dishes and craft beverages, the air will be filled with energy from live performances featuring Top-40 hits by Baba Caiman, groove-rock from Ripperdüski and music hosted by DJ Lady Shay.
Ticket proceeds support Bonnet Springs Park’s mission to enrich Central Florida through nature, education, and recreation. Tickets are available at CentralFloridaFoodFest.com.
