Vintage lovers and home décor enthusiasts are going to enjoy a heavy dose of nostalgia with a shot of renewed vigor today when they walk into Junely—the much-awaited reopening of the business formerly known as June Taylor—at 1216 S. Florida Ave. in Dixieland.
Known for its curated selection of vintage and modern furniture, art and décor, Junely promises to bring the sentimental charm and distinctive style that has made it a favorite for shoppers near and far.
“We’re excited to be back in Dixieland,” said Kelly Riley, Junely co-owner. “There’s a real vibrancy here—with vintage shops, new restaurants and so much creative energy. It feels like the perfect place to begin our next chapter.”
A local favorite since its early days as a vendor in The Shop Across the Street eight years ago, Junely’s return to Dixieland marks a homecoming that celebrates both heritage and growth in this blossoming community.
A Designer's Treasure Trove
Interior designers like Anne Furlow of Step by Stage Interiors rely on Junely for statement pieces that bring life and personality to their home staging projects.
“SBS is always on the hunt for those unique, one-of-a-kind treasures that make our stagings shine—and Junely never disappoints! It’s my happy place, full of fabulous credenzas, art, décor and fun furniture. Kelly even customizes pieces to fit our brand. You can count on spotting me there on Saturday mornings with a big smile!” Furlow says.
Lakeland City Commissioner Stephanie Madden shares how Junely has helped transform her home with vintage charm.
“Every day, when I sit at my ornate, leather-topped antique desk, I bask in the beauty of vintage treasures. My paintings need frames, and what would I do without my emerald green elephants?” Madden quips. “One is next to a comfy chair, and gives my guests a spot for their drink. The other holds a hand-painted chinoiserie bowl filled with orchids. These are treasures I purchased from June Taylor, now Junely.”
Something for Everyone – Big & Small
The shop offers everything from statement furniture—that can serve as the focal point of a room—to small treasures to add to your nightstand. Junely finds are beloved by locals like Courtney Wade, a lover of all things creative and home décor.
“I want pieces in my home that have history and tell a story and I’m all about mixing the old with the new,” Wade said. “I have Junely finds all over the house. Hutches, small jewelry boxes, cabinets, plates that I add to the collections on my wall. Just about everything in my house is from Kelly.”
Vintage with Vision
With a keen eye for style, Kelly’s approach has attracted shoppers from across Florida and beyond, including features in Southern Living magazine like this one where she shares home décor tips about how to mix old with new.
Junely is a vintage and modern home décor shop owned by Bill and Kelly Riley who have been married for 27 years. The new name reflects their love for the whimsical, as well as each other. As Kelly wrote on Instagram earlier this month, the new name is a combination of Billy (from Bill’s childhood), the Kelly Jun(e) and their last name.
“While we have a new name, logo, and location, the essence of what you've loved about the shop is staying the same,” she wrote.
What began as Kelly’s passion project in 2013—hand-stitching blankets for local maker markets—quickly grew into something more. Her displays at places like Dixieland Relics and Tampa’s Indie Flea drew as much attention as her products, sparking a love for curating beautiful, storied pieces.
That creative spark evolved into a full-fledged business known for blending transitional style with a personal touch. The shops’s ever-changing collection reflects Kelly’s keen eye for design and her love of helping people find pieces that feel like they were made just for them.
