Efficiency Experts
Picking out an insulation professional for your next job might sound as enticing as watching spray foam blasted on your walls, but the truth is some do it better than the rest.
Spray Pro Foam Insulation, owned by Polk County native Jason Fortson, offers turn-key solutions for almost every insulation project, and his company is an approved vendor of Lakeland Electric, TECO and FP&L Insulation, meaning customers qualify for rebates that save them money thanks to the energy-saving results of the company’s work.
Spray Pro is also committed to environmental stewardship— evident by its goal of achieving a net-zero emissions office by 2026 and how its team collaborates with builders and architects to reduce energy consumption in the region.
“Spray Pro Insulation distinguishes itself with a comprehensive service portfolio—spanning spray foam, fiberglass, radiant barrier, CMU corefill and after-paint items like custom mirrors and shelving,” says Fortson, who founded Spray Pro in 2017. “We work closely with homeowners, builders, and architects to provide resources on advanced insulation practices, optimizing building performance and reducing energy costs.”
Sometimes an entrepreneur’s “why” for starting a business is as simple as seeing an opportunity in the marketplace and believing they can do it better than competitors.
Fortson, who owns Aveco Electric, was overseeing the construction of the office building for his electrical company when he saw the opportunity to fill a gap in the Central Florida market.
He said even though industry ratings may look the same on spray foam versus fiberglass, the thermometer tells a much different story for standard R-30 insulation.
“We educate customers on spray foam’s superior air-sealing properties, particularly when applied to the roof deck, encapsulating HVAC equipment in the conditioned space of the building envelope, operating in an 80-90°F environment versus 120-130°F with fiberglass, significantly boosting energy efficiency for the building,” he says.
He’s just as passionate about building his employees up as he is about keeping hot air out.
Spray Pro ensures its employees receive top-notch training through SPFA certifications and aims to take care of them by providing industry leading benefits.
“We empower our team to take pride in enhancing local homes and businesses,” Fortson says. “This drive to create energy-efficient, comfortable spaces and support Central Florida’s growth motivates us to deliver exceptional service every day.”
