Lake Mirror Classic Bringing Fast Cars, Fun Times to Downtown

Eye-catching vehicles spanning generations, car collectors and enthusiasts and motorsports and car industry veterans will take over Downtown Lakeland October 17-19 for the 26th Lake Mirror Classic Concours and Car Show.

The Grand Marshal for the event will be Gary Patterson, President of Shelby American. Patterson has been deeply involved in the creation of every Shelby vehicle for nearly three decades and has also served as a factory team driver for the iconic brand.

From the event’s kickoff Friday evening through Sunday afternoon there is plenty for visitors of all ages to enjoy.

Visit Central Florida Hot Rod Rendezvous
Friday, Oct. 17, 5-9 p.m.
Enjoy all the lights and glory of the Lake Mirror Promenade at sunset with some of the coolest hot rods, street rods and race cars around.

Concours d’Elegance
Saturday, Oct. 18, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The centerpiece of the Lake Mirror Classic brings together an incredible collection of rare, historic and themed-automobile displays. This unique setting also features vintage wooden boats and the ever popular Amphicars.

Downtown Classic Car Show
Saturday, Oct. 18, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The streets of Downtown will be lined with more than 400 classics, exotics, muscle cars, hot roads, specialty vehicles and trucks from Florida and beyond with something for everyone of all ages to enjoy.

Sunday Road Tour Presented by 1000 Miglia Experience Florida
Sunday, Oct. 19, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
For people who want to get behind the wheel to make memories, the Lake Mirror Classic offers the opportunity to support a great cause while following clues along a course of paved public roads that show off Florida’s scenery and history. The tour begins at the Peggy Brown Building, with registration kicking off at 8 a.m. for any type of vehicle, but as organizers say, “the sportier the better.”
The $40 registration cost per person includes lunch, and the event helps support Camp Gilead, a Christian summer camp in Polk City.
