Leading LRH’s Concierge Medicine program is Dr. Phung Phan, a board-certified family physician with over a decade of experience in military, family, and executive medicine.
Concierge Medicine at Lakeland Regional Health is an exciting new program designed to offer patients a highly personalized approach to primary care.
Through this subscription-based model, members build a strong relationship with their physician, creating space for more individualized attention and the opportunity to form a solid partnership focused on their long-term health. While the concept of concierge medicine isn’t new, Dr. Phung Phan and his team are redefining what this type of care can be.
Dr. Phan is always ready to address medical concerns as they arise, but it’s important to recognize that Concierge Medicine at LRH is built on a foundation of holistic wellness, disease prevention and early detection and intervention. Concierge Medicine members get 24/7 physician access and the peace of mind that comes with expedited access to appointments, comprehensive preventive screenings and coordinated specialist referrals.
Care That Fits Your Life
While all LRH patients can reach their physician or care team directly by phone or secure messaging in MyChart, Concierge Medicine members can take these communications a step further with the option to request for lengthier visits. The additional time allows for more in-depth discussions about health concerns and goals.
Preventive care is a key part of the experience. Annual exams and screenings are tailored to each patient based on their history, goals and risk factors. These can include advanced tests such as cancer screenings, genetic insights and pharmacogenomics to better understand how certain medications may (or may not) work for each person’s individual health profile.
From the care team to the office environment, the program is designed to ensure that each patient feels known. Concierge Medicine members enjoy their own comfortable lobby with refreshments, wireless internet access, and well-appointed exam rooms. Dr. Phan also offers his patients the ability to connect in-office or via telehealth in order to accommodate their schedules.
A Physician Who Looks at the Whole Picture
Dr. Phan brings to LRH more than a decade of experience in family and executive medicine, including time as a physician in the U.S. Army. During his military career, he provided medical care to high-ranking officials and dignitaries, earning him the Meritorious Service Medal and Army Commendation Medal.
That background shaped the way he approaches care today, with a focus on flexibility and attention to all aspects of each patient’s health: physical, mental and emotional.
As an osteopathic physician, Dr. Phan combines clinical knowledge with practical guidance, helping patients make steady, realistic progress with their health. He can also use specific techniques when appropriate to help with musculoskeletal concerns and chronic pain.
“Evidence-based medicine is the basis of my practice,” says Dr. Phan. “By incorporating the holistic approach that is the core of osteopathic medicine, I can give my patients everything they need to address health events, manage chronic conditions and make meaningful lifestyle changes.”
These changes may include customized plans for nutrition, exercise and overall wellness. Through ongoing dialogue, Dr. Phan adapts each patient’s care plan as their needs evolve.
“We aim to provide information that is useful and actionable, not overwhelming,” says Dr. Phan.

The Concierge Medicine team also helps patients navigate the healthcare system, helping to make each step straightforward and well-organized. The team can offer assistance in coordinating specialist referrals, arranging additional testing, interpreting results and providing education. “We make sure each patient feels supported every step of the way,” Dr. Phan explains.
For patients who travel, that support continues. Dr. Phan and his team prepare conveniences such as personalized travel kits with over-the-counter medications, and remain available to answer questions at any time.
