Building Backyard Retreats

Marcos and Megan Davila understand that a family’s dream lanai or pool enclosure might seem out of reach or the process may seem overwhelming, but with more than 5,500 completed jobs in their portfolio, the Polk County natives have the tools and the talent to make outdoor living dreams come to life.

Since 2014, MD Construction, owned by the husband-wife duo, has been designing, prefabricating and installing custom screen enclosures and sunrooms, as well as seamless gutters, aluminum fencing and paver and concrete foundation options for driveways, walkways, etc.

As a local, family-owned business, the Davila’s take pride in working directly with customers from inquiry to completion.

“We personally work with you every step of the way to ensure great customer satisfaction,” Davila says. “We also prefabricate most screen walls and screen roofs for our enclosures and screen rooms.  This allows us to visit the jobsite before the installation to take precise measurements, have clean cuts on the aluminum when we cut the pieces in our warehouse instead of uneven grass, and be able to complete an install in a day or two instead of a week.”

The process at MD Construction begins with an in-home consultation where the prospective client shares wants, needs, budget, etc. The staff at MD Construction bring into focus the regulations and guidelines of HOAS, cities and counties to guide the process, as part of their mission of creating a smooth, stress-free experience.

Davila said one consideration a lot of first-time customers overlook is how much maintenance a project will require during its lifespan.

“A lot of people opt for concrete slabs instead of pavers because they are easier to clean and maintain,” she says. “More customers are also choosing bronze metal over white because it doesn’t show dirt and wear nearly as much.”

At MD Construction, most screen enclosures and patios take 1-2 months to complete from start date, while Florida rooms can take up to a year because of the customized windows that are part of the installation.

The company stands behind its products, offering customers a two-year warranty on workmanship, as well as one-year warranty against cracks on cement.
